M4 or M6 800 - How to replace a drive belt and/or replace a flat inner tube
If the drive wheel tire is not properly inflated, the powerful torque of the motor can damage the valve stem on the inner tube. To prevent this, make sure your tires are properly inflated before riding. If you do have a flat, here is how you repair it:
| Step 1: Unscrew hex bolt holding drive wheel |
| Step 2: Gently pull up drive wheel, you can use a screwdriver to help slide drive belt off cog wheel |
| Step 3: If you are replacing the belt, simply remove the black plastic cover and replace drive wheel. |
| Step 4: To replace inner tube, the two piece hub needs to be disassembled: Remove cog wheel |
| Step 5: Remove four hub bolts |
| Step 5 Continued: Picture 2 - Removing the four hub bolts |
| Step 6: Open hub and pull out inner tube - this picture shows damage to valve stem. |
| Step 7: This is the size inner tube you need, put a little air in it to make it easier to place into tire. |
| Step 8: Re-assemble hub- line up valve stem with opening in hub, screw bolts back in place, screw cog wheel back onto hub. |
| Step 9: Place dive wheels back on Truck, push and turn until drive belt slides back onto cog wheel, double check to make sure drive belt and cog wheel are properly aligned. |
| Step 10: Drive belt on cog wheel. |
| Step 11: Make sure all bearings and washers are back in place, secure wheel on truck. |
| Step 12: Inflate tire and you are back in action. |
