SKATEBOARD / LONGBOARD BEARINGS
Keeping your Skateboard riding it's best is extremely important to us. Bearings have a couple of measurements that you should be aware of. All these are for 8mm axles which are by far the most common. The next number is the ABEC rating. This number classifies the precision of a bearing when it's manufactured. ABEC 1 is considered the lowest rating, and ABEC 9 is the highest. An ABEC 7 bearing will be ground or polished to a higher tolerance and in turn may be faster & last longer. A very precise bearing will have reduced friction, friction causes heat, and heat ultimately will cause bearings to fail. These are all top quality bearings. Note that many top-of-the-line bearing manufacturers do not use an ABEC rating. So it's just one of the indicators that a bearing is good or not. We always recommend that you clean and lube bearings regularly.

NMB - Labyrinth 7 Bearings - $15.95 (Set of 8)
The word "pathway" used by NMB is the undercutting in the IR of the bearing. The seal is in this "pathway" (undercutting it) thereby creating a "Labyrinth". As a result you have a superior closure without any drag, (vs. "SS" non contact seals). This bearing also uses Japanese DD400 stainless steel which is both more durable and higher in performance. The two labyrinth seals are used to keep dirt out and the shields are non-contact, so that they do NOT increase friction. They decrease the ease & increase the distance dirt particles must travel to get past the shields. The only difference you will notice is that the labyrinth shield will last several times longer than standard bearings between cleanings. This significant increase in service life comes at a very small increase in retail cost, so the value is greatly appreciated!
Features:
* Design is FAR superior to most bearings in the market.
* ABEC 7 Double Labyrinth non-contact.
* Removable shields allow easy cleaning & low friction.
* NMB uses Japanese DD400 stainless steel ball bearings.
* LONGEST lasting, BEST value of ANY Skate Bearing!

BILTIN BEARINGS - ABEC 7 - $27.95 (Set of 8)
Biltin Bearings are the first precision bearing designed for skateboarding by World Champion Skateboarder, Chris Chaput. They make your life faster and easier by integrating washers and spacers into every bearing. There is no frustration caused by dropping the washer or spacer in the dirt, searching for it; then once found, trying to get it perfectly clean so grit doesn't get into the assembly. Your locknuts can be tightened snuggly without pinching or binding the bearings. They align themselves perfectly on the axle and in the wheel. As a result, your wheels spin faster and longer and with less vibration and friction. There is no rattle from misaligned bearings. Biltin's unique design helps to share the sideloads more evenly for longer wheel and bearing life. Biltins make wheel swapping a breeze and are easier to clean.

BEARING SPACERS - $3.95 (Set of 4)
Bearing spacers allow for proper alignment and spacing of your bearings. They are especially necessary when bearings are subjected to hard carving and sliding. The first number shown in the description is the axle size and the second number is the spacer width. Most skateboard trucks use axles that are 8mm in diameter. Most wheels use 10mm wide spacers, and only a very few use 8mm wide spacers.
