A BRIEF HISTORY OF ELECTRIC SKATEBOARDS
The electronic skateboard was invented by Louis Finkle, in Southern California. He developed the board himself with money from his own pocket. Louis founded Exkate and it took about five years to perfect the invention. To this day, the boards have undergone several transformations. Louis is also well known for his interest and developments in electronics, especially electric motors.
Today these EXKATE boards are some of the world's most advanced battery powered vehicles. They are highly refined and well-tuned, giving you a unique device which is unparalleled in its design and concept. The patented wireless feature makes the product extraordinary and it's now altering the future of skateboarding.
In 2006, a group of friends that realized the potential of a product, which was clearly ahead of its time, acquired the company. They combined their talents and set out to improve the product line and take it to the next level. With this move an exciting new era for skateboarding has begun.
*Users of Electric Skateboards as well as all skateboards must understand that there is the risk of injury or even death, and protective gear such as a helmet & pads are strongly recommended and/or required.
